Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, reliable software solutions in C/C++ and support system-level programming
- Build and maintain Perl scripts for automation, data processing, and system integration
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot Sybase and Oracle database schemas, queries, and stored procedures
- Perform advanced SQL tuning and resolve complex production issues
- Lead feature design, enhancements, and code reviews while ensuring coding best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation
- Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of software development experience with strong C/C++ expertise
- Extensive Perl scripting experience
- Deep hands-on experience with Sybase and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL, design, tuning)
- Proven experience with multi-threaded, high-performance applications
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP
- Experience with version control (Git, SVN) and CI/CD
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services or high-volume transaction systems
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting
- Familiarity with additional relevant programming languages or technologies
