Job Title: Control Software Engineer

Location: Erie, PA 16531 (Onsite)

Contract: 12+ Months

Pay Rate: $45/hr on c2c or $40/hr on w2

Job Description

Develop and deploy processes for Control and Software teams as per the Organizational standards to ensure the world class product quality for Customers

Facilitate learning and development among employees through individual and team coaching.

Coach managers on industry leading controls and software development practices to ensure adoption of best practices from the top down.

Communicate key development principles, teaming practices, and overall operating model across the organization.

Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures by teams to ensure defined process deployment

Maintain objectivity regarding issues and coach others to troubleshoot them by applying industry leading software development principles.

Support stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project process/tool usage.

Prepare, implement, maintain, and audit product development standards, policies, and procedures.

Drive tool and processes optimization, particularly on new platforms

Work closely with quality organization to define and implement new processes

Drive process improvement project to accomplish its defined goal

Process Documents Inventory list, those are required to be updated or prepared to support the Control and Software engineering lifecycle.

Risk/Gap analysis of existing Process Documentation and identify the requirement of the additional process documentation to enable the world class product quality for Customers.

Project Plan for Process Documentation update. Based on risk/gap analysis and continuous improvement needs, the individual with create a project plan that incorporates the appropriate priorities based on opportunities and available resources and depict the progress over the time.

Identified working team list with subject matter and other product experts to update/create process documentation and deployment.

Identify and develop training on the defined process. This is to enable the know-how of the defined process and ensure the adherence.

Support the collection and analysis of metrics to illustrate the progress of process documentation, continuous improvement and to ensure the adherence of defined processes quantitively including First pass yield of the product released Process and release audits report.

This is to ensure the process adherence proactively during the control and software development lifecycle and prior releasing the product to customers.

Deliver the process improvement project deliverable(s) as per agreed milestone and quality

Requirements:

Five or more years of experience in Engineering or Software Development or Software Testing.

Experience in using and working in multiple development methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, etc.)

Track record of implementing industry best development techniques in different work cultures and environments.

Experience in leading projects of varying size and complexity using multiple processes.

Experience with Quality Management System in a large matrixed organization

Experience in using industry leading development techniques to create organizational change

Experience in in-house tool development using PowerApps, Power BI, Python etc.

Strong skills for leading, educating, and coaching.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Educational background in Engineering or Software development

Ability to balance multiple priorities

Passion for processing and delivering quality products on time
