Power BI Technical Architect

Full-Time / Direct-Hire with WinWire

REMOTE (with some travel to PA)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Professional with Fabric, 15 years of experience in end-to-end BI solution delivery, strong customer engagement skills, and hands-on expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure data services. The candidate must have handled at least 5 Power BI and 1 Fabric projects and led the design and migration of semantic data models and reports.

Skills / Experience

• Overall, 15 years of experience and 8+ years of experience in Power BI and working on at least 7+ Projects
• 7+ years of experience working on designing reporting solutions
• 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Fabric (Power BI) on at least 1 customer Project
• 5+ years of experience working on designing report solutions and experience with Qlik Sense
• 8+ years of experience working with Business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver BI solutions
• 2+ years of experience working with ETL/ELT solutions using Databricks or ADF/Synapse or any other industry standard ETL/ELT tools
• Secondary Skills Qlik Sense, SAP BO, Azure DE, Databricks PL 300 Certified
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews and be open to receiving feedback on your own code
• Prior experience in working on Agile/Scrum projects with exposure to tools like Jira/Azure DevOps
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking; Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently

Key Technologies/Skills

• Customer & Architecture Proven experience collaborating with Business & IT teams on requirement gathering and solution design. Experience preparing architecture blueprints; Independently created HLDs and LLDs for BI solutions including data models and reports; Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Microsoft Fabric Power BI Hands-on experience building reporting solutions using Power BI on Microsoft Fabric; Good to have experience working with Fabric Copilots to accelerate data modeling, report generation; Worked with Direct Lake, OneLake, and Lakehouses to design and manage scalable data architectures; Built and orchestrated end-to-end data pipelines using Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks
• Power BI Strong expertise in Power BI Pro, Premium, and Paginated reports; Advanced use of DAX, Power Query, and M language; Experience with Dataflows, Incremental Refresh, RLS, and Data Modeling; Led multiple report migrations from legacy BI platforms to Power BI (Good to have)
• Data Engineering/Modelling Hands-on experience working with ETL/ELT solutions using ADF or Synapse or SSIS or any other industry standard ETL/ELT Tools; Hands-on experience in designing Gold layer and data models for consumption by reports and downstream applications
• Well-architected Framework, Best design/coding practices Experience in working in a challenging environment with unclear requirements and contributing collaboratively with the team to refine the requirements
