Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Configure the operating system level and application related environment files
• Create projects, manage users/groups/privileges, setting project level variables as part of Application on-boarding
• Establish connectivity between IIS and various database servers based on Application requirements
• Proactively work on request/issues reported by Application team members and complete them within defined SLAs
• Provide IIS/LINUX support during server/service outages
• Co-ordinate with external teams (System Admin, DBAs) and perform maintenance activities (software patching, configuration changes, upgrades, etc.) in defined maintenance window
• Migrate IIS and LINUX assets to UAT and Prod servers by following all the deployment formalities and change management measures
• Automate IIS and LINUX administration processes to reduce the manual effort
• Performance tuning of IIS platform/servers
• Create detailed process and technical documentation
• Co-ordination with support partners/Vendors to resolve issues
• Assist and resolve production issues as part of support
• Able to resolve issues independently. Guide team members on resolving the issues
• Create best practices, platform usage standards and guidelines

Requirements:

• 10 years' of experience
• Hands on experience of Installation of IIS DataStage/Websphere tools or patches
• Certifications If Any : IBM DataStage
• IIS DataStage, LINUX OS, Database (Preferred DB2)
• IIS/DataStage Administration, Suite tools - BG, FT, MWB IA, SDM Ansible automation.
• Exposure to IBM Cloudpak for Data (CP4D) will be advantage.
• Understanding of Redhat open shift architecture
• Knowledge on ESS

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26
