Introduction:

This position involves owning and driving technical architecture, design, and standards for software products in Commodities Trading. The role requires leading architecture decisions, collaborating with stakeholders, and implementing innovative solutions while ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead technical architecture decisions for software products in Commodities Trading
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders for strategic and day-to-day technical decisions
Diagnose problems and implement innovative solutions within the Shell Trading environment
Document and coordinate various aspects of IT solutions, including business processes, data, and technical details

Requirements:

Required Skills:

10+ years of experience in software and architecture delivery
Experience in TOGAF or similar framework and Enterprise Architecture tooling
Strong communication and collaboration skills with 5+ years' experience in trading environments
Expertise in programming languages such as Node.js, .Net, Python, etc.
Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms
Knowledge of data management, including SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, GitHub, Terraform, and Ansible

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Agile methodologies and engineering standards
Exposure to Azure services like Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Kubernetes Service
Knowledge of data architecture, management, and diverse data types
Integration experience with Confluent/Kafka, API Management, and Logic Apps
Practical experience in start-up and enterprise environments
