Description
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our team in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This contract-to-permanent role involves designing, implementing, and supporting advanced cloud networking solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, cloud architecture, and security, along with hands-on experience in enterprise tools such as Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking equipment.
Responsibilities:
Design and manage cloud networking solutions in Microsoft Azure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Configure and oversee Azure Virtual Networks, VPNs, Network Security Groups, ExpressRoute, and Application Gateways.
Monitor network performance using Azure-native tools and third-party platforms, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Develop and implement best practices for cloud network architecture, including automation, governance, and disaster recovery strategies.
Troubleshoot complex network problems across hybrid environments and provide timely resolutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures to support compliance and change management.
Mentor and support entry level network engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, server administrators, and security specialists, to ensure seamless IT operations.
Support compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements through thorough documentation and adherence to protocols.
Participate actively in IT change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and updates.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, with 3+ years specializing in cloud networking, preferably Azure.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, and Network Security Groups.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager templates.
Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark and Azure Network Watcher.
Comprehensive understanding of network security principles and practices.
Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams.
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking equipment is highly preferred.
