Summary
Job Title: PLC Engineer
Location: Saint Joseph, MO 64503 (Hybrid 3 days onsite in plant, 2 days remote)
Relocation: Required from Day 1 if not local
Travel: Required to customer locations across the U.S. (reimbursed)

Note:
Technical interviews will be conducted via screen share with live PLC circuits.
Candidate identity verification will be required during interviews (photo ID check).
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using Allen Bradley (RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, CCW) and Siemens (TIA Portal, S7, SIMATIC 505).
Develop and maintain HMI applications using FactoryTalk View, WinCC, etc.
Work with Ignition SCADA platform for industrial automation solutions.
Configure and manage Kepware for OPC communication between systems and devices.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data logging, reporting, and system integration.
Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites.
Interact with clients for requirement gathering, enhancements, and production support.
Maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, code, and configurations.
Understand plant IT/OT infrastructure including servers, networking, OS, and databases.
Required Skills (Must-Have):
5 6+ years of hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
Strong experience in HMI development (FactoryTalk View, WinCC, etc.).
Experience with Ignition SCADA platform.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with Kepware and OPC protocols.
Willingness to travel to customer sites across the U.S.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Skills (Good-to-Have):
Manufacturing domain experience.
Knowledge of scripting in Ignition (Python, JavaScript).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
