Summary

8 10+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 DBA (DB2 LUW and/or DB2 z/OS).
Strong knowledge of DB2 installation, configuration, and administration.
Experience in performance tuning (indexes, explain plans, optimizer strategies).
Expertise in backup and recovery processes, disaster recovery planning, and failover systems.
Hands-on experience with:
HADR / Replication
DB2 Connect
TSA (Tivoli System Automation)
Strong SQL programming and troubleshooting skills.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government environments.
Familiarity with security standards, data privacy, and compliance for state clients.
Experience in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Mainframe technologies (JCL, RACF, z/OS utilities) is a plus.
IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2 certification.
Experience with monitoring tools (IBM Data Studio, Quest, BMC, etc.).
