Cable Technician

Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems, and learning new technical skills? We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Cable Technician No experience? No problem - if you're eager to learn, we want to meet you!
What you will do:
Install various work-area outlets for floors, modular furniture, and walls.
Pull and route cable through walls and modular furniture using fish tape or other tools.
Perform pre-termination tasks such as organizing, dressing, forming, labeling, and prepping cables.
Properly suspend and support cabling using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, trapezes, and more.
Assist with building out telecom closets-installing backboards, racks, patch panels, cross-connects, fiber hardware, etc.
Install grounding for racks and equipment as required.
Perform fire-stopping, install sleeves, and pull cable through core penetrations.
Terminate low-voltage devices and ensure clean, professional installations.
Requirements:
Ability to work at heights on ladders, using scissor lifts, and in confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move 75 lbs
Ability to distinguish cable color codes
Ability to read small print and recognize audible signals (such as dial tones)

This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
