Java Backend Developer (LOCAL - F2F I/W MUST)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to build, enhance, and maintain robust web applications. You will work across the full technology stack, collaborating with product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality software that scales. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a passion for clean code, and a customer-centric mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end features using Java on the backend and modern frontend technologies.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices with attention to performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and visually appealing UI components using modern frontend frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code; maintain unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability; monitor and troubleshoot production issues.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, perform automated testing, and participate in release planning.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help define best practices and code standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies; propose improvements to existing systems.

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ (or newer) and common frameworks (Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA).
• Experience building RESTful services and working with microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM tools.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows (Git workflows, PR reviews).
• Understanding of software testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and test automation.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes a plus).
• Knowledge of security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
