SQL Developer/QA Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end SQL support, including development, performance tuning, testing, and documentation for quarterly projects and ad hoc initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Analyze existing SQL queries and execution plans to identify and implement performance improvements for long-running processes.
• Recommend and implement improved data manipulation approaches (e.g., replacing Excel-based processes with SSIS packages to reduce cycle time and improve reliability).
• Review and enhance SQL development processes, including code promotion, code reviews, and deployment practices.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases; thoroughly test reports, workflows, and data pipelines.
• Produce clear, concise technical documentation (requirements, process flows, and operational guides).
• Collaborate effectively within a team while also working independently with high-level guidance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SQL database development and programming.
• 3+ years of experience in a QA or testing role.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Proven ability to write high-quality technical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in team environments.
• Ability to manage work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate.
• Familiarity with data governance best practices and procedures.
• Experience in the investment or financial markets industry.
