Job Description

Seeking a highly experienced Sr. Python Developer with 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience and strong expertise in FastAPI, Python, React, and Azure DevOps. Candidates must meet all required skills listed below.

You will design and build production-grade backend services, architect scalable distributed systems, and contribute to high-quality, secure, and observable software products.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build production-grade APIs and backend services using Python (FastAPI / Django / Flask).
Architect scalable microservices and event-driven systems using async I/O, caching, and resiliency patterns.
Work with relational databases: schema modeling, SQL tuning, and ORM usage (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).
Optimize performance using profiling tools (cProfile, py-spy) and implement back-pressure, retries, circuit breakers, and idempotency.
Implement security best practices: authentication/authorization, secrets management, dependency hygiene, and data protection.
Follow DevOps and quality engineering standards: automated tests (pytest), code reviews, linting, static typing (mypy/pyright), CI/CD.
Containerize and deploy to Kubernetes or Azure Functions; manage IaC using Terraform.
Implement observability using OpenTelemetry; build dashboards and alerts.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of professional Python software engineering experience (production-level).
Expertise in one or more frameworks: FastAPI, Django, Flask.
Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, concurrency.
Proven experience designing distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Strong SQL and ORM experience; designing database schemas.
Hands-on CI/CD experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps.
Strong cloud experience with Azure, Kubernetes, containers, and IaC tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional efforts.
