US Salary Range
$146,000-$194,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own detailed design of individual engine components from conceptual phase into production.
- Drive prototype testing and design of experiments to optimize designs prior to release.
- Design with a heavy focus for manufacturing and assembly at production rates.
- Own architectural layouts and design trade studies for future products.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities, including process improvement, efficiency improvement and development of data analysis techniques.
- BS or higher degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD) in NX or Solidworks. Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, castings, etc.)
- Proficient in mechanical drawings, ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
- Experience procuring parts and working in a machine shop. Working knowledge of machine safety and shop safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.
- Mechanical design of components from early conceptual phase into production:
- Knowledge of rotor dynamics fundamentals and engine vibration.
- Design for volume manufacturing.
- Detailed assembly stackup development.
- Working knowledge of engine materials and selection.
