Role: BI Analytics Developer (Databricks + Power BI + AI/BI)

Location: Remote (EST Time Zone)

Overview:

We are seeking a BI Analytics Developer to design and deliver analytics solutions using Databricks Lakehouse and Power BI. In this role, you will curate Gold-layer datasets, build semantic models, and develop dashboards that support business stakeholders. You will also work with Databricks AI/BI (Genie) to enable advanced analytics use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Develop curated analytical datasets and semantic models in Databricks using SQL and Unity Catalog.

• Build and optimize Power BI datasets and dashboards, following best practices for data modeling and performance.

• Translate business requirements into dimensional models, including facts, dimensions, and KPIs, while ensuring data quality.

• Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to refine KPIs and reporting requirements.

• Create analytics-ready datasets for dashboarding and AI/BI consumption.

Required Skills:

• Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience in Databricks SQL, Delta tables, and Unity Catalog.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization.

• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and semantic layer concepts.

• Proven ability to deliver curated, business-ready datasets for analytics and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

• Python for data exploration and analysis.

• Familiarity with Databricks AI/BI (Genie) and data governance best practices
