NTT DATA's Client is seeking an MDM Technical Lead to provide end-to-end technical leadership for our Product Master Data Management (MDM) ecosystem, centered on Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) and integrated with multiple supporting platforms — including Supplier Exchange (homegrown supplier portal), Item Maintenance Applications, WebMethods integrations, Databricks Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), a Machine Learning enrichment layer (TAMR / Oracle AI), and integrations with a Product Information Management application (Hybris).
This role bridges architecture and delivery, leading the technical integrity, scalability, and reliability of the MDM landscape. The MDM Technical Lead works across multiple engineering and DevOps teams, ensuring designs are robust, estimates realistic, dependencies well-managed, and operational metrics (SLAs, MTTR, performance, load) consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design (≈60%)
Serve as the technical design authority for the Product MDM ecosystem, defining integration patterns, data models, and architectural standards across Oracle PDH, Supplier Exchange, Item Maintenance, and the Databricks data layer.
Lead end-to-end solutioning and impact assessments for new requirements, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring scalability, data quality, and system resilience.
Collaborate with data engineering, integration, and application teams to ensure architectural consistency across the ecosystem.
Drive the transition of ML enrichment capabilities from TAMR to Oracle AI, defining design principles and data flow integration.
Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to strengthen the MDM and data ecosystem.
Drive technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the Product Owner / Business Analyst and Program Manager.
Partner with enterprise architects and data governance leaders to align with Thermo Fisher's EDP and enterprise data strategy standards.
Delivery Oversight & Operations Leadership (≈40%)
Own technical delivery governance, ensuring accurate estimation, dependency management, and alignment across multiple delivery teams.
Collaborate with the Product Owner / Business Analyst and Project Coordinator to refine technical stories, prioritize backlog, and validate delivery feasibility.
Track and report technical progress, proactively identifying risks, blockers, and cross-system dependencies.
Partner with DevOps and support teams to define and enforce operational standards, including SLAs, uptime, incident response, MTTR, and performance metrics.
Support release planning and cutover readiness, ensuring smooth transitions from build to operations.
Facilitate cross-team postmortems and root cause analyses, embedding continuous improvement practices.
