You Have: - 2+ years of experience with machine learning engineering in sof tware engineering or data engineering roles
- Experience building AI-enabled features or prototypes using LLMs, embeddings, or 3rd party APIs, including OpenAI or Anthropic
- Experience with basic prompt engineering concepts and use of LLM SDKs or frameworks including LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Experience with Python
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their AI or ML services
- Experience with a vector database or search framework, including OpenSearch or Weaviate
- Experience developing backend services and building or consuming RESTful APIs
- Ability to follow code review practices, document work, and maintain clean and reusable code
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have: - Experience with AI-assisted development such as Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, or Claude Code
- Experience with AI agent frameworks, including LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Experience with open-source AI projects like Ollama or personal projects involving generative AI
- Experience with Git, CI / CD workflows, or containerization tools such as Docker
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
