Our client is seeking a hands-on Data Migration Specialist to support a pivotal ERP transition from NetSuite to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC). The new D365 BC environment is already deployed but not yet in use, presenting a unique opportunity to shape data migration strategy and execution from the ground up. This consultant will be instrumental in assessing current NetSuite data, determining transfer scope, recommending frameworks, and performing the migration. No integrations or third-party applications are in scope, and the client is open to utilizing any migration tools or techniques advised by the specialist.

• Evaluate existing NetSuite data architecture and legacy records to determine migration approach, priorities, and transfer scope.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify which data sets are critical for migration to D365 BC, considering business and compliance requirements.
• Recommend the optimal migration framework, mapping tools, and methodologies to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Design and implement data mapping, transformation, and cleansing procedures according to best practices.
• Execute the data migration, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from NetSuite to D365 BC.
• Perform thorough data validation, reconciliation, and ensure data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot migration issues, document processes, and provide recommendations for future scalability.
• Support post-migration testing and provide user training as needed.
• Communicate progress and findings clearly with project stakeholders and technical teams.

Skillset/Qualifications:

• Proven experience in hands-on data migrations, preferably with NetSuite and D365 Business Central (or similar ERP systems).
• Strong expertise with data mapping, ETL processes, and migration frameworks/tools.
• Ability to develop and document migration plans, workflows, and validation checklists.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in environments without existing integrations or 3rd party apps is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of both NetSuite and D365 BC data structures and administrative interfaces.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance in ERP migrations.
• Understanding of business process reengineering within ERP transitions.
