We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). In this role, you will architect and automate secure cloud foundations, Landing Zones, and application-migration environments across Azure (preferred) or AWS. Government cloud experience (Azure Gov or AWS GovCloud) is a plus but not required for strong Terraform/IaC engineers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
  • Expert-level Terraform skills: module development, testing, state management, CI/CD integration, Git workflows.
  • Strong grounding in IaC principles, automation, and environment lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architectures: compute, networking, identity, security, monitoring.
  • Experience with at least one enterprise cloud (Azure preferred, AWS also valuable).
  • Experience with Azure Government Cloud or AWS GovCloud preferred
  • Experience building Azure Landing Zones or AWS Control Tower style foundations
  • Relevant certifications:
    • Azure: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500
    • AWS: Solutions Architect, SysOps, Security
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Experience supporting regulated or government environments a plus
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD IL) a plus
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Terraform SME, building reusable modules, enforcing IaC best practices, and automating provisioning at scale.
  • Design and deploy Landing Zones / cloud foundations in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Support application migrations by delivering scalable, secure infrastructure architectures through IaC.
  • Build secure cloud environments including VNET/VPC design, identity & access controls, segmentation, policies, and monitoring.
  • Partner with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to define standards, guardrails, and automation patterns.
  • Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost management.
  • Maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
