Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL/Ab Initio Developer with strong experience in AWS technologies to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in ETL/ELT development, cloud-based data platforms, and performance optimization. This role involves building, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale data integration frameworks while ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL solutions using Ab Initio on AWS tech stack.

Work with cloud-native databases such as Postgres, Redshift, or Athena to support enterprise-level data pipelines.

Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) from diverse sources, including S3 file access.

Conduct performance tuning for data pipelines and optimize workflows for scalability and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with standards.

Leverage Cloudera for big data processing and integration where applicable.

Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience as an ETL Developer.

Strong expertise in Ab Initio development - MUST HAVE.

Proficiency in AWS-native services (S3, Redshift, Postgres, or Athena - any one is required).

Proven experience in data performance tuning and optimization.

Knowledge of data warehousing, modeling, and integration frameworks.

Cloudera experience strongly preferred.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
