Role: Azure Cloud Engineer

C2H Role, must convert after 6 Months
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure design, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and automation/scripting using PowerShell to support enterprise-grade cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual networks, compute, storage, and security components.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated, repeatable deployments.
Automate cloud operations, provisioning, and maintenance tasks using PowerShell scripting.
Implement and manage Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and VPN/ExpressRoute.
Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of Azure environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC, Azure AD, Key Vault, and policies.
Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native solutions.
Manage infrastructure changes, upgrades, and incident resolution in production environments.
Document architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role.
Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure design and architecture.
Proven experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Strong scripting skills using PowerShell.
Experience with Azure services such as:
Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Storage
Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers
Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
Knowledge of Azure security and governance best practices.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of ARM templates or Bicep.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, AKS).
Understanding of cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) are a plus.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
7-8 + years of experience in cloud infrastructure.
