Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with 10+ years of hands-on development experience and deep expertise in the Banking / Financial Services domain. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading scalable backend solutions for mission-critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of enterprise-level Java backend applications
• Architect and implement microservices-based solutions
• Develop and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs
• Work on high-availability, high-throughput banking systems
• Ensure compliance with banking security, regulatory, and audit standards
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices
• Collaborate with business, product, and QA teams
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis
• Contribute to architecture, scalability, and performance improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Java backend development
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8/11/17, Collections, Multithreading
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and API security
• Expertise in Hibernate / JPA
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• Experience with Messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, MQ)
• Strong understanding of Banking domain, including:
• Core Banking Systems
• Payments & Transactions
• Loans, Cards, Deposits
• Regulatory & Compliance (PCI-DSS, SOX, AML, KYC)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes
• Exposure to Event-driven architecture
• Experience in Performance tuning and scalability
• Agile / Scrum experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
