Java Developer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Augusta, Georgia. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of secure, scalable Java-based applications while collaborating with senior developers and system engineers. This position offers the opportunity to work in an agile environment, delivering innovative solutions to support mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance Java-based applications to meet evolving requirements.

Collaborate with team members to design and implement reliable software solutions.

Conduct testing, validation, and deployment of software systems to ensure quality and functionality.

Integrate user interfaces and services for scalable data processing.

Document code and follow agile development practices to maintain project standards.

Provide Tier 3 support for operational software, addressing any issues that arise.

Analyze existing systems to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.

Work within a DevOps framework to optimize software delivery and performance.

Utilize tools like ActiveMQ, REST, and NoSQL databases to develop efficient back-end services.

Participate in the development and maintenance of software in a Linux environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proficiency in developing back-end services using Java.

Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and modern web interface development.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases and elastic database solutions.

Ability to validate software capabilities, execute test cases, and capture results.

Experience with Linux-based development environments.

Knowledge of agile development methodologies and CI/CD processes.

Skilled in using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
