Need Data Architect - New York City, NY

Position: Data Architect Location: NYC, NY Duration: Long Term
Role Summary:
The Data Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and leading large-scale Data & Analytics solutions across hybrid (On-Prem and Cloud) environments, with a strong preference for AWS. This role will serve as a technical lead for multiple critical programs and will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to align data initiatives with enterprise strategy.
Required Experience:

• 14+ years of overall IT experience
• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, MDM, RDM, Data Lineage, Data Governance, and Metadata Management
• 10+ years of experience defining Data & Analytics Architecture for large-volume implementations across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• 7+ years of experience working with Agile teams
• Strong experience with hybrid architectures (On-Prem Cloud)

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• Data Lake and analytical platform design and implementation
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, ingestion, integration, and transformation
• Big Data & Engineering tools: Python, PySpark, Kafka, APIs
• ETL tools: Talend, BODS
• Databases: Relational (SQL) and NoSQL
• Data Modeling tools: Erwin, ER Studio (or equivalent)
• Streaming, message queuing, and scalable data processing frameworks
• Visualization tools: QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, validation, and implementation of enterprise-scale data solutions
• Act as the primary technical lead and point of contact for critical programs and integrations
• Collaborate with senior and mid-level management to align business initiatives with Data Engineering & Analytics architecture
• Evaluate and recommend data engineering and analytics tools, technologies, and approaches
• Drive best practices in data governance, metadata management, and data quality
• Resolve technical and customer issues in a timely manner
