Location: Stamford, CT (Remote candidate may work remotely) Duration: 12+ Months Experience Required: 6 8 Years
Note: Need Actimize SME with implementation knowledge, remote candidate will work for this position.

Role Summary

The Actimize Developer / SME will design, build, configure, and maintain NICE Actimize financial crime prevention solutions across AML, Fraud, and Trade Surveillance domains. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with Actimize modules, custom development using Java and SQL, system integrations, and close collaboration with compliance and business teams to meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1) Actimize Development & Configuration

• Implement, configure, and customize NICE Actimize modules, including:

  • AIS (Actimize Intelligence Server)

  • RCM (Risk Case Manager)

  • IFM (Instant Financial Monitoring)

  • SAM (Suspicious Activity Monitoring)

  • STAR (Trade Surveillance)

• Develop and maintain alerts, cases, dashboards, and reports aligned with compliance needs.

2) Customization & Rule Development

• Develop custom plugins using Java.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries.

• Configure and enhance:

  • Detection rules

  • Workflows

  • DART layouts

  • UI components

3) Integration & System Connectivity

• Integrate Actimize with enterprise systems using:

  • REST/SOAP APIs

  • Web services

  • Message queues

• Support data ingestion from upstream systems and delivery to downstream platforms.

4) Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with:

  • Business Analysts

  • Compliance Officers

  • QA teams

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to define requirements and deliver solutions iteratively.

5) Troubleshooting & Production Support

• Debug and resolve application, data, and performance issues.

• Provide production support and incident resolution.

• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend long-term fixes.

6) Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Create and maintain:

  • Technical design documents

  • Installation and configuration guides

  • Knowledge transfer and support documentation

7) Performance Optimization

• Optimize Actimize solutions for:

  • Performance

  • Scalability

  • Stability and reliability

Required Skills & Experience

Core Actimize Expertise

• Proven hands-on experience with NICE Actimize, including:

  • RCM

  • AIS

  • SAM

  • IFM

  • STAR

• Strong domain knowledge in:

  • AML

  • KYC

  • Fraud

  • Trade Surveillance

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in:

  • SQL

  • Java (for Actimize plugins)

  • Scripting

• Experience with databases:

  • Oracle

  • MS SQL Server

• Familiarity with application servers:

  • WebSphere

  • Tomcat

Soft Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

• Adaptability in fast-paced regulatory environments.

Education

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Preferred / Desirable Skills

• Exposure to Cloud or DevOps practices.

• Experience supporting large-scale financial services implementations.

• Prior experience in regulatory-driven environments.
