FTT will require proof of status prior to employment. We do not offer sponsorship employment. General Job Summary:We are seeking motivated engineering students to join our team this summer. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting real-world engineering projects while working closely with experienced engineers in a collaborative environment. Interns will gain exposure to the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and design through analysis, testing, and documentation.
Work under guidance and supervision from engineering staff in one of the following discipline areas:
AeroPerform tasks required for hardware aero phase for: mechanical design, concept studies, structures analysis, detailed solid modeling, final drawing/documentation for production hardware.
DesignPerform tasks required for hardware design phase for: mechanical design, concept studies, structures analysis, detailed solid modeling, final drawing/documentation for production hardware.
Electronics, Software, and ControlsDesign and analyze aircraft mechanical, propulsion, component structures, systems, and processes. Design and performance for new and redesign turbine hardware, non-turbine engine structures, field failures and production.
Manufacturing/MaterialsManufacturing for new and redesigned turbine hardware, non-turbine engine structures, field failures and production support.
StructuresCarry out stress, vibration, and life analysis. Perform tasks required for hardware structures phase for mechanical design, concept studies, structures analysis, detailed solid modeling, and final drawing/documentation for production hardware.
Experience and SkillsEducation and Experience:- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
- Typically, 2+ years of completed engineering coursework
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
