Design Engineer II - Electric Utility Projects

What You'll Do:

Apply your technical knowledge to support a variety of utility design projects, including storm hardening, new construction, residential and commercial projects, solar farms/panels, reconductoring, removals, and fault sensor installations. Work with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages, perform calculations, and develop drawings. Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and stakeholders while following industry codes, standards, and regulations. Lead design efforts on simple projects and support complex projects, conduct quality checks, identify errors, and ensure projects meet specifications. Gain hands-on experience with CAD and engineering software while developing your skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in engineering at ABET accredited university
• 3+ years of electrical distribution design experience
• Design Review Experience
• Client Facing Experience / construction support.
• Proficiency in drafting/design software ArcFM, ArcMap, Infor or Pole Foreman, AutoCAD preferred
