Summary
We are looking for a Program Manager position at Tallahassee, FL. Duration: 16 Months [Initial 4 Months with 12 Months possible renewal]
General Experience Expectations:
A minimum of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least three (3) years of leadership experience and five (5) years in managing projects.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Alternatively, four (4) years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement or on a year-for-year basis when applicable.
The Department requires the following additional experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
• Possesses a Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification;
• Over five (5) years of experience managing successful, large-scale projects that include multiple diverse teams;
• Over five (5) years of experience using project software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, etc. to track and maintain projects;
• Over five (5) years of experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules based on work breakdown structures;
• Over five (5) years of experience with PMO methodologies and documentation;
• Over five (5) years of experience in meeting facilitation and documentation;
• Over five (5) years of experience in creating and presenting internal and external status reports;
• Over five (5) years of experience in risk and issue management;
• Proven track record of completing project deliverables within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost, and quality;
• Ability to effectively coordinate multiple project teams and meet overall objectives;
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to project managers;
• Provide effective communication and collaborative skills;
• Experience in creating presentations and presenting to stakeholders; and
• Experience providing excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
The Department prefers the Candidate to have the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
• Certification in Agile or Scrum-based Project Management;
• Possesses an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundations Certification;
• Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base;
• Experience managing waterfall projects;
• Experience with state government projects;
• Experience managing and reporting projects in compliance with Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C.;
• Experience working with technical programming teams;
• Ability to demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude with the initiative to solve complex problems;
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders;
• Skills in negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and team building;
• Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice environment;
• Experience managing vendors and vendor projects;
