Job Summary
We are seeking two Linux Systems Administrators with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience to support a mission-critical federal program. This hands-on role is fully onsite and focuses on administering, maintaining, and securing RHEL systems within a controlled environment.
The ideal candidate brings solid RHEL administration experience, an active Red Hat certification, and practical experience using Ansible for automation and configuration management. You ll support production systems, collaborate with engineering and security teams, and ensure availability and stability across Linux environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
- Use Ansible for automation, configuration, and system deployment tasks.
- Perform command-line RHEL administration and day-to-day O&M activities.
- Troubleshoot OS-level issues, performance problems, and system alerts.
- Support system hardening, patching, and security compliance workflows.
- Document system configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Participate in a light on-call rotation to support critical systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years total IT experience
- 5+ years hands-on Linux systems administration, primarily in RHEL/Unix environments.
- Active Red Hat certification (RHCSA, RHCE, or higher any one is acceptable).
- Experience using Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Strong command-line troubleshooting and Linux operations skills.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in a secure federal facility.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study.
- Exposure to GitLab or CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with Docker/Mirantis or other container runtimes.
- Familiarity with federal/DoD, regulated, or security-sensitive environments.
- General understanding of Linux networking or monitoring tools.
