Systems Engineer

Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Des Moines, IA
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Candidates must reside in the Des Moines metro area).

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Manage robust security protocols within the OKTA environment.
• Leverage OKTA Advanced Server Access (ASA) to eliminate static keys and automate server access controls.
• Implement advanced security methods using tools like Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central.

Enterprise Infrastructure & Print Management

• Lead enterprise-wide Printer Administration and fleet management.
• Oversee Fairfax systems and Secure Doc (WinMagic) for secure document workflows and full-disk encryption.
• Execute large-scale system installations, updates, and infrastructure upgrades.

Operational Excellence

• Create critical documentation required for system rewrites and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technical communication.
• Provide on-call support for nightly and weekend patching, upgrades, and high-priority troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates must demonstrate at least 8 years of hands-on experience in the following:

• Local Restriction: Submittals are limited to candidates currently living in the Des Moines metro area.
• On-Call Availability: Must be willing to perform nightly and weekend duties for patching and upgrades.
• Background Investigation: Selected candidates must undergo a thorough DOM background check, including fingerprinting and several waiver forms.
