Technical Delivery Manager
Location: 100% Remote (Approximately 25% Travel to Client Sites for Meetings/Presentations)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the large-scale implementation and integration of a next-generation Restaurant Technology Platform, including Point of Sale (POS), Inventory, Labor Management, Makeline Optimization, and Driver Dispatch systems. This role will own end-to-end technical delivery, architecture, and API integration across a complex multi-vendor ecosystem with 100+ integrations spanning internal platforms, franchisee systems, and third-party partners.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, proven leadership in enterprise restaurant or retail technology programs, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives involving product engineering, infrastructure, integration, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Lead technical delivery across POS, Inventory, Labor, Makeline, and Dispatch platforms ensuring scalability, reliability, and interoperability.
- Define and govern API strategy, architecture standards, and data integration frameworks across 100+ internal and external systems.
- Partner with engineering and vendor teams to enable secure, real-time data exchange between restaurant systems, digital channels, and enterprise platforms.
- Oversee technical validation, configuration, and integration testing during pilot and rollout phases.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, interface specifications, and system flow documentation.
Program Management & Execution
- Manage full lifecycle delivery from discovery through pilot, enterprise rollout, and stabilization.
- Own integrated program plans, schedules, and dependencies across internal teams and multiple vendors.
- Maintain a unified roadmap and technical dependency tracker across POS, middleware, and third-party services.
- Lead governance through technical reviews, risk management, and architecture steering forums.
- Ensure delivery milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and with high technical quality.
Vendor & Integration Management
- Partner with POS, middleware, labor, dispatch, and inventory vendors to define APIs, SLAs, and performance benchmarks.
- Review and validate vendor architectures for security, scalability, and integration compliance.
- Manage and prioritize integration backlogs across 100+ interfaces including POS, delivery platforms, ERP, finance, and digital channels.
- Facilitate joint technical design sessions and deployment readiness reviews.
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis for integration or data issues.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure resilient and secure system design.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into executable technical plans.
- Mentor technical leads, integration engineers, and analysts on enterprise rollout best practices.
- Drive alignment across IT, Operations, and vendor partners for unified deployment and support.
- Present program status, risks, and technical decisions to senior leadership and steering committees.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Technical Project Management leading enterprise-scale implementations.
- Strong background in API-driven architectures, integrations, and large-scale data exchange.
- Hands-on technical understanding of POS, labor, inventory, and retail/QSR platforms.
- Proven experience managing multi-vendor environments and large rollout programs (1,000+ locations).
- Track record of delivering complex integration programs with 100+ internal and external systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both executive leadership and engineering teams.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, and integration monitoring tools.
