About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
OT/ICS Cybersecurity Engineer to join a dynamic, project-based team supporting critical infrastructure systems. This role involves working closely with clients on industrial control systems, compliance initiatives, and cybersecurity for operational technology environments. The ideal candidate is a
jack-of-all-trades with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain OT and ICS cybersecurity solutions.
- Conduct security patch assessments, vulnerability management, and security testing.
- Develop and program PLCs and HMI equipment for industrial control systems.
- Monitor OT networks and collect data using specialized tools.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks (NERC CIP, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443).
- Support project engineering, instrumentation calibration, and system integration.
- Deploy virtualized platforms in OT environments (desired).
- Collaborate with clients on bids, quotes, and project execution.
- Travel to project sites as needed for system support.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in OT/ICS cybersecurity or industrial control systems engineering (10+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud security concepts.
- Familiarity with Cisco networking, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and HMI configuration.
- Knowledge of OT architecture standards, guidelines, and governance processes.
- Certifications such as CCNA or CISSP (desired, not required).
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800 series guidelines (desired).
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and compliance onboarding.
