Open Banking Principal Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise architecture standards for Open Banking enablement

• Own end-to-end architecture for secure API ecosystems and real-time data sharing

• Lead architecture for provider and consumer Open Banking models

• Guide solution teams across cloud, security, integration, mobile, and web platforms

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, fraud, and data privacy requirements

• Architect scalable, cloud-native solutions leveraging Kubernetes and microservices

• Drive API lifecycle management, consent architecture, and identity integration

• Partner with business and executive stakeholders to develop roadmaps and business cases

• Mentor senior architects and engineering teams across the organization

• Support large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 12 20+ years of experience in technology architecture, with strong banking or financial services background

• Deep expertise in Open Banking standards, data-sharing frameworks, and consent architecture

• Hands-on experience designing and governing API ecosystems

• Strong background in Java and Spring Boot based microservices architectures

• Cloud architecture experience with Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or similar platforms

• Experience with API management and integration modernization platforms

• Strong knowledge of identity, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk controls

• Expertise in event-driven architectures and real-time streaming platforms

• Proven success leading enterprise-scale transformation programs

• Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
