Role OverviewThis team manages Windows audio system certification tests for industry partners (IHVs and OEMs) to ensure compatibility with Windows and improve test content and debugging tools. The role supports ongoing Windows 11 releases and certification efforts for audio hardware and device drivers.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
- Fine-tune and improve sophisticated software implementation projects.
- Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions.
- Analyze enhancement requests and specifications.
- Implement system software and customize client requirements.
- Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
- Code new programs and create test data for testing.
- Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing.
- Create migration packages for system and user testing.
- Provide quality assurance reviews and post-implementation validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs found during testing.
Typical Day- Work on certification tests for Windows audio systems.
- Debug and improve test content and tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on Windows 11 audio compatibility.
Candidate Profile- Ideal Candidate: Advanced debugging experience on Windows, strong C++ skills, and experience with audio or media technologies.
- Disqualifiers: Lack of required degree or strong C++ and debugging experience.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong foundation in computer science (data structures, algorithms, software design).
- Large systems software design and development experience.
- In-depth troubleshooting and unit testing experience.
- Programming experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.
- 3+ years of C++ programming experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with audio or media technologies.
- Windows device driver development experience.
- Advanced debugging skills on Windows.
