Description: Deployment Release Engineer

Overview:
Ensures seamless, auditable deployments and high confidence in release quality by managing feature toggles, environment consistency, and automated testing strategies—all visible through a single pane of glass

Key Responsibilities:

Feature Toggle Governance
Define and enforce toggle lifecycle policies (creation, usage, retirement).
Maintain centralized visibility of toggle states across non-production and production environments.
Ensure toggles are documented with purpose, owner, and retirement timelines.
Deployment Visibility
Build and manage dashboards showing:
Code versions deployed per environment.
Feature toggle states and their impact.
Configuration changes and history.
Provide simplified views for non-technical stakeholders.
CI/CD Pipeline Ownership
Integrate feature management tools (LaunchDarkly) with CI/CD pipelines.
Automate environment consistency checks and promotion rules.
Implement traceability from commit to production deployment.
Quality Engineering integration
Define toggle-aware test strategies (ON/OFF state validation).
Embed toggle awareness into automated regression suites.
Ensure stable build deployment to support reliable testing across all environments
Governance & Compliance
Conduct audits for stale toggles and deployment anomalies.
Generate reports for leadership on toggle usage and deployment health.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product, QE, and Support teams to ensure toggle states align with business needs.
Act as the point of contact for release/deployment readiness and governance queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in GitHub Actions for CI/CD and ServiceNow for change tracking.
- Familiarity with Harness, Helm for artifact deployment and Kubernetes-based orchestration.
- Knowledge of continuous deployment automation tools and validation processes.
- Proficiency in observability and dashboard tools (Dynatrace, Power BI, Grafana).
Governance & Process
Experience implementing governance frameworks for deployments and toggles.
Experience with compliance, audit trails, and environment consistency.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills for translating technical details into business-friendly language.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive alignment across teams.
