GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Littleton, CO, looking to add a Senior Director of Business Technology to their team. The role is a full-time leadership position with remote flexibility and quarterly on-site collaboration weeks. This opportunity supports our partner in the IT systems integration industry, a leading organization serving both commercial and government clients through enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and business transformation initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision Shape and execute the organization's business technology vision, aligning internal systems, tools, and applications with strategic business goals.
  • Technology Strategy & Roadmap Develop and communicate a clear technology roadmap that leverages innovation, enhances scalability, and drives continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with executive leadership, operations, and cross-department stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Systems Architecture & Integration Oversee design, implementation, and integration of business application architecture (ERP, CRM, and analytics tools) ensuring seamless connectivity across platforms.
  • Emerging Technology & Innovation Monitor industry trends and assess new technologies for adoption potential, balancing innovation with ROI and business risk.
  • Data Management & Insights Collect, analyze, and report on operational performance metrics (KPIs), using data to guide strategic decisions and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Process Optimization Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with teams to redesign workflows that increase operational performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Change Management & Governance Lead structured change management initiatives, including risk assessments, communication plans, stakeholder alignment, and post-implementation measurement.
  • Vendor & Partner Relations Establish and maintain strong partnerships with technology vendors and industry experts to enhance innovation capabilities and ensure value from strategic alliances.
  • Project Oversight Support or lead key operations improvement and system implementation projects, ensuring delivery within defined scope, time, and budget.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma methodologies to embed a culture of ongoing improvement and operational excellence.
  • Team Enablement Mentor and train end-users and team members on new processes and systems to ensure adoption and sustained performance.
  • Quarterly Collaboration Participate in quarterly in-office sessions for roadmap planning, performance review, and alignment across teams.

Qualifications
Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business technology, enterprise systems, or IT leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power BI, and integration via APIs / DataVerse.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and managing business system architectures that support growth and efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent working knowledge of operating systems, data integration, and automation frameworks.
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible for security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Experience in federal, defense, or government-regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI analytics dashboards.
  • Familiarity with change management best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and business process automation.
  • Certifications in Dynamics, Power Platform, or related enterprise technologies.
  • Experience leading distributed or hybrid teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $170,000 $190,000 (commensurate with experience).
