We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to elevate development practices and provide architectural leadership for a rapidly growing, data-driven platform. This role is hands-on and impact-focused, with responsibility for improving delivery quality today while designing solutions that scale for future growth.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can mentor engineers, guide architecture, and set high standards across frontend, backend, and cloud-native systems.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Excellence: Strengthen development workflows including code reviews, testing standards, deployment practices, and risk mitigation.
AI-Assisted Development: Champion responsible use of AI coding tools while ensuring proper validation, security, and quality controls.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Pair with engineers on complex implementations, serving as a technical guardrail and mentor.
Architecture & Design: Lead the design of scalable, maintainable solutions that support increasing platform complexity and growth.
Data & Performance Optimization: Improve data access patterns, query performance, ETL pipelines, caching strategies, and analytics performance.
Frontend & UX Leadership: Drive best practices for modern UI development and intuitive, high-performance dashboard experiences.
Cloud-Native Development: Collaborate across frontend, API, serverless, and infrastructure teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, analytics, and platform teams to align technical execution with business needs.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
Strong expertise in JavaScript/Node.js, modern frontend frameworks (Angular preferred), and AWS serverless architectures.
Proven experience building data-driven applications, dashboards, and analytics-heavy user interfaces.
Hands-on experience with cloud data services, serverless compute, and ETL pipelines.
Strong background in query optimization, caching strategies, and performance tuning.
Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
Demonstrated ability to scale applications as system complexity and usage grow.
Proven track record establishing effective engineering processes and development standards.
Ability to mentor developers while remaining hands-on with design and implementation.
