We are seeking a
Lead Java Developer to oversee the implementation and migration of FIX connectivity using Rapid Addition adapters across various exchanges and asset classes.
You will manage business data transformation, integrate messaging solutions, and maintain Java-based services while ensuring smooth deployment and observability practices. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams to support agile delivery and provide production support. This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and migration of FIX connectivity using Rapid Addition adapters
- Perform business data transformation and mapping within trading workflows
- Integrate and manage messaging services using Solace
- Develop and maintain supporting java services
- Manage deployment automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
- Implement and maintain observability practices including logging, metrics, and tracing following standards such as OTEL
- Troubleshoot FIX sessions and conduct certification testing to ensure smooth onboarding
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and infrastructure teams
- Contribute to agile delivery processes
- Provide production support ensuring high availability during implementation and migration
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong knowledge of FIX protocol and connectivity workflows
- Experience with RAPID adapters for FIX connectivity
- Expertise in business data transformation and mapping
- Experience with deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of observability practices, including logging, metrics, tracing, and OTEL
- Leadership skills with experience managing stakeholders
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
