Title: Onboarding Specialist
Location: Naples FL (Flexible work preference: in-office initially, then hybrid with 3 days in office/2 days remote; Mondays always in office)
Contract: W2 only, 6 months approximately, with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI
Pay: $30 /hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
This position involves supporting the onboarding process for new restaurant and retail clients, guiding them through hardware installation, software configuration, and system go-live. The role requires managing multiple implementations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing post-launch support.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide new clients through the full rOS onboarding process from kickoff to go-live.
- Conduct onboarding kickoff calls to review hardware, licensing, menu requirements, and network readiness.
- Perform remote hardware installation and configuration, including PAX devices, printers, Android devices, iPads, KDS, and network components.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
- Review and validate menu data, modifiers, pricing, taxes, dual-pricing, and payment configurations.
- Coordinate VAR submissions and ensure payment terminal and processing setups are accurate.
- Provide training on rOS POS, KDS, Kiosk, Inventory, Loyalty, QR ordering, and online ordering features.
- Manage network sign-off requirements and collaborate with customers on infrastructure readiness.
- Track project milestones, identify delays or risks, and escalate issues as needed.
- Support clients during scheduled go-live, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Provide ongoing onboarding support for 30 days post go-live.
- Record detailed case notes, documentation, and follow-up actions in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with Sales, Support, and Leadership teams to ensure customer success.
- Maintain high product expertise on Linga modules, hardware, and deployment best practices.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding needs and resolving challenges.
Required Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues related to POS systems and payment processing.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple onboarding projects.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, ticketing systems, and documentation standards.
- Implementation experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-first mindset with a passion for technology adoption.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with customers in hospitality, retail, or restaurant environments.
- Spanish bilingual skills (preferred, may be flexible on other skills for Spanish speakers).
- Analytical thinking, change management, data analytics, and storytelling.
- Familiarity with waterfall project management models.
