Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to support Wealth Management / Financial Services initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across data architecture, data modeling, storage, transformation, and reporting, and will play a key role in application modernization and data platform initiatives. This role requires both technical leadership and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements; translate them into scalable data architecture solutions
- Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality data solutions
- Support development and maintenance of enterprise data applications
- Participate in Application Modernization programs
- Act as a track lead, collaborating with Project Managers and Scrum Masters
- Coordinate with onsite teams and business stakeholders to ensure delivery expectations are met
- Provide guidance and mentorship to development team members
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data modeling, data warehousing, and database development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or MCA
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, storage, archival, and transformation
- Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
- Experience with reporting and presentation-layer tools such as Tableau, SSAS, Cognos, Business Objects
- Experience with DB2, Snowflake, SingleStore
- Knowledge of Python
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling methodologies
- Experience with Control-M job scheduling, file transfer mechanisms
- Proficiency with version control tools (SVN), script merging, and production deployments
- SQL Server database development and scheduling tools
- Exposure to DB DevOps practices
