Pay Rate: $25.00 $28.00/hr (W2)

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Help Desk/Support Engineer for a long-term engagement in Memphis. This role is ideal for a support professional with 4 5 years of experience who excels at troubleshooting end-user issues while keeping a proactive eye on system health.

In addition to standard help desk ticketing, you will play a key role in Event Monitoring watching for alerts, identifying potential system failures before they escalate, and ensuring our fleet of devices remains compliant and functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware and software issues.
• Proactive Monitoring: Actively monitor system alerts to identify potential outages or performance degradation.
• Log Analysis: Utilize Microsoft Event Viewer to diagnose Windows system crashes, application freezes, and security log anomalies.
• Endpoint Management: Use Microsoft Intune to track device compliance, resolve sync errors, and troubleshoot failed policy deployments.
• Systems Administration Support: Leverage SCCM to monitor hardware health, track software installation failures, and ensure successful patch management across the environment.
• Maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the lifecycle of a support ticket.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4 5 years in a Help Desk or Technical Support role.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows 10/11, Office 365).
• Monitoring Skills: Hands-on experience (even if foundational) with Event Viewer, Intune, and SCCM.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to "watch the screen" for alerts and take immediate action to investigate potential downtime.
• Location: Ability to work onsite in Memphis, TN, for the duration of the contract.
