Job TitleWorkday Security Configuration AnalystRole OverviewThe Workday Security Configuration Analyst will support day-to-day operational and business-as-usual (BAU) activities across the Workday platform, with a primary focus on Workday Security configuration. The qualified candidate will work closely with a senior security resource and the broader Workday configuration team to help stabilize, maintain, and incrementally optimize the security model in a global Workday environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support BAU Workday Security operations, including access requests, role assignments and updates, and security group maintenance
- Configure and maintain domain security, business process security, and role-based security assignments
- Assist with ongoing cleanup and optimization of the Workday security model to better align with best practices
- Partner closely with a senior security analyst to manage workload, backlog, and turnaround times
- Support audit and compliance activities (SOX, internal audits) through access reviews, documentation, and validation support
- Perform segregation of duties reviews and assist with remediation activities
- Prepare and test EIB templates for mass security-related changes (execution handled by a separate team)
- Participate in regression testing for Workday releases and security-related configuration changes
- Proactively identify system or process gaps and propose configuration or process improvements
- Collaborate with Workday product owners, configuration leads, and global stakeholders
Required Qualifications- 3-5 years of hands-on Workday Security configuration experience
- Strong understanding of Workday Security architecture, including:
- Domain Security
- Business Process Framework security
- Functional security groups
- Role-based and user-based assignments
- Experience supporting BAU operational workloads in a Workday environment
- Familiarity with audit, access governance, and compliance processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in an environment that is still evolving and not fully aligned to best practices
