Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for technical products, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content for technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze technical information from engineers, developers, and product managers and translate it into high-quality documentation.

• Create and maintain technical documents such as:

  • User guides and manuals

  • API documentation

  • System and process documentation

  • Release notes and FAQs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.

• Edit, proofread, and format documents to ensure consistency with style guides and standards.

• Maintain version control and documentation repositories.

• Update documentation to reflect product changes, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Ensure documentation meets compliance, accessibility, and quality standards.

• Support end-user onboarding and training documentation when required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation roles.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly.

• Experience working with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).

• Proficiency with documentation tools such as:

  • MS Word, Confluence, SharePoint

  • Markdown, XML, or DITA (preferred)

• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, or DevOps environments.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Experience documenting software applications, APIs, or cloud-based solutions.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, YAML, or OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Experience with version control systems (Git).

• Exposure to tools like Jira, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

• Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript a plus).

Desirable Skills

• Experience with SaaS, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Knowledge of UX writing or information architecture.

• Experience creating diagrams, flowcharts, or visual documentation.

• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance documentation.

• Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
