Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Java AWS Developer to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building cloud-native, scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS services. This role requires hands-on coding, API development, cloud deployment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 8/11/17, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance Microservices and RESTful APIs following best practices.
Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, IAM, SNS/SQS, MSK/Kafka).
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and automated deployment tools.
Work closely with DevOps teams for containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure scalability/security.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborate with Product, QA, and Architecture teams.
Write clean, testable code with JUnit / Mockito or similar frameworks.

Required Skills

10+ years of hands-on experience with Java / J2EE development.
Strong experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API development.
Proven experience with AWS cloud Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
Experience with Kafka / MSK or other messaging platforms.
Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills

AWS Certification (Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
Exposure to financial/banking domain is a plus.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB).
