We are seeking a
Senior DBA/Linux Engineer to join our software and system engineering team.
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining large-scale Oracle databases and ensuring smooth replication and migration processes in a cloud environment. Your expertise with Oracle GoldenGate and AWS will be critical to your success in this role. If you have a solid background in database administration and cloud migration, we encourage you to apply and contribute to our innovative projects.
This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.
Responsibilities
- Resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Address replication challenges to ensure data consistency
- Maintain the performance and integrity of Oracle databases
- Apply patches and updates to keep databases current and secure
- Manage large-size database installations and configurations
- Monitor database health and optimize performance parameters
- Administer Oracle Advanced Replication setups
- Support Linux environments related to database operations
- Collaborate with cloud teams to assist in migration activities
- Document procedures and maintain operational guidelines
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Oracle database administration with a focus on large databases
- Proficiency with Oracle GoldenGate for replication and data integration
- Background in Oracle Advanced Replication techniques
- Competency in Linux system administration related to database environments
- Knowledge of AWS services, including Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3
- Experience in database patching and upgrade processes
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database and replication issues
- English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher
