Northern Minneapolis Suburb- some flexibility must more onsite the better (5 days initially, but some flex once they get integrated)

Oxford s client is searching for a hands-on OT Systems Engineer to support a critical OT infrastructure lifecycle refresh initiative. This role will focus on upgrading aging OT systems, standing up new Windows-based virtual machines, and executing server builds at scale in a highly controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support OT system lifecycle refresh initiatives, including hardware and OS upgrades.
• Build and deploy Windows-based virtual machines within an OT environment.
• Create and utilize server templates to support large-scale deployments.
• Perform server builds across a high-volume environment (hundreds of servers).
• Follow and execute strict change control processes (SN/change tickets, documentation, approvals).
• Ensure all work aligns with OT operational and security requirements.
• Maintain and update technical documentation throughout the lifecycle process.
• Collaborate with OT, infrastructure, and adjacent technical teams to ensure smooth execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Systems Engineer in OT, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Windows Server (especially in VM environments)
  • Virtualization platforms (VMware or similar)
  • Server builds, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Experience working under formal change management / change control processes.
• Ability to work in structured, regulated, or high-availability environments.
• Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with physical and virtual infrastructure.
