StubHub is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact organization responsible for building the platform, data systems, and services that power the live event experience for millions of users. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering strategic business and customer outcomes through rigorous execution, organizational clarity, and exceptional team leadership. Your mandate is to raise the bar, ensuring technical excellence, growing a top 10% talent bench, and maximizing impact at scale.
About the Team: The Sponsored Listings team's mission is to enhance the discovery experience on the platform by advertising high quality, relevant products in context throughout the product. We're building StubHub's ad platform engine - spanning real-time bidding, auction mechanics, ranking and relevance models, pacing algorithms, and inventory-quality controls - all operating at marketplace scale. What You've Done - 10+ years of engineering experience, including senior leadership of production systems and critical software.
- 4+ years of experience managing managers or leading large engineering teams.
- Strong technical depth in backend, infrastructure, data systems, or APIs (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
- Proven success in driving execution, solving complex problems with data, and managing organizational complexity.
- Skilled in navigating ambiguity, setting strategy, and operating with urgency and precision.
- Experienced in building inclusive cultures rooted in trust, autonomy, and accountability.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
