Position: Migrations Engineer
Type: Long Term Contract
Location: Austin, TX / Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid 3 Days in onsite)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Migration Engineer who will support planning, designing, and executing large-scale email and data migrations during organizational acquisitions. The role involves migrating mailboxes to Microsoft Exchange Online and data to Box, while ensuring smooth business operations and minimal user disruption.

Responsibilities
  • Migrate mailboxes from multiple external sources into one or more managed Exchange Online tenants.
  • Assist in planning and executing migration activities with minimal downtime.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, internal teams, and external partners to review mailbox configurations and migration requirements.
  • Provide escalation support to end-users during migration, troubleshooting issues quickly and effectively.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Serve as the primary engineer for migrating data from external platforms into a centralized Box environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Online, including managing and executing mailbox migrations.
  • Experience performing Box data migrations using Box Shuttle.
Core Competencies
  • 3+ years of experience with ProofPoint Email Protection and good understanding of DKIM, SPF, DMARC.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting (automation, reporting, migration tasks).
  • Experience using BitTitan MigrationWiz for mailbox migrations.
  • Experience with Box Shuttle for data migrations.
  • Strong skills in configuring/troubleshooting Outlook & MS Teams across Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Strong documentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Miro, Confluence is a plus.
