Vaco is partnering with a large enterprise healthcare organization on a high impact Data Analyst opportunity supporting corporate reporting and analytics. This role sits within a tight knit, long tenured team and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and actionable healthcare data for internal operational stakeholders.
This is a true Data Analyst role. It is not a BI or dashboard only position. The right candidate enjoys digging into data, owning SQL queries end to end, validating data quality, and translating real business questions into reliable reporting.
Role Details
Title Data Analyst
Contract Duration 6 months with strong intent to convert

Start Date ASAP once background, credit, and drug screen clear
Why This Role Is Open:
This role is a replacement for permanent staff and is critical due to redistributed workload across the team. The group is prioritizing quality and long term fit after prior hiring misses.
What You Will Do:
Write, own, and optimize complex SQL Server queries
Build and maintain SSRS reports supporting healthcare operations and finance
Analyze healthcare data with a strong understanding of business context
Validate data accuracy, compliance, and reporting quality
Partner closely with business, quality, and IT stakeholders
Document logic, data sources, and reporting methodology
Follow issues end to end rather than handing off incomplete work
Top Required Skills (must have all)
- Advanced SQL Server experience including complex queries, joins, and schema understanding
- Strong SSRS reporting experience
- Healthcare data analysis experience including claims or financial data
Ability to translate business needs into accurate and compliant reporting
Nice to Have:
- MEDITECH experience
- IBM AS 400 exposure
