Software Engineer to join our
Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge systems that push the boundaries of technology across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. You will collaborate with a team of innovative professionals to design, develop, and implement advanced algorithms and capabilities for mission-critical systems.
As part of an Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team, you will:
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into software solutions.
- Develop and implement complex, math- and physics-intensive algorithms.
- Participate in reviews of requirements and test cases for software capabilities.
- Work in a secure, in-person environment to ensure compliance with classified project requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 12+ years of related experience, OR Master's degree with 10+ years, OR Ph.D. with 8+ years.
- Strong experience developing software in C++ or Java.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python.
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Ability to work in a closed-area, on-site environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Linux expertise, scripting, and operational experience.
- Experience with automated software requirements testing and analysis.
- Background in battle management or fire control systems.
- Hands-on experience deploying containerized applications in distributed environments.
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using tools like Gherkin and Cucumber.
- Familiarity with Static & Dynamic Code Analysis Tools (Coverity, Fortify, SonarQube) and fuzzing tools.
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environments.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, containers, and related tools (Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Coverity).
- Understanding of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).
- Experience with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Istio, Elastic Stack (ELK), Terraform, Ansible.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
