Title: Platform Engineer (Mainframe/COBOL)

Location: 38 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati, OH 45202

Duration: 9 months Contract

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking systems and processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional specifications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Support mainframe-based applications, with a preference for experience in COBOL or Assembler.
Lead and assist in system conversion projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
Perform detailed testing and validation of system changes.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, processes, and workflows.
Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Banking domain expertise, including knowledge of core banking products (e.g., deposits, loans, payments).
Hands-on experience with mainframe systems; COBOL or Assembler preferred.
Proven experience in system conversions and migrations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work with technical teams and understand system architecture.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.
